I have received several complaints from residents about the excessive noise made by barking dogs, and as a committee member was trying to resolve the problem. Yesterday I received, in front of my wife and neighbours, verbal abuse from a resident which I am not prepared to accept and therefore I am tendering my resignation.

I would like to thank all the people who nominated me for the committee and apologise to them for resigning, but I will no longer continue to give up my retirement time to protect the interests of people such as the above mentioned resident.

To all other persons who know me, enjoy your retirement as I intend to do.

I am sure that PFA is far more professional in all aspects of property management than Artha, and we will all benefit from this change.

The Committee is still pursuing Aristo for a reasonable refund over the communal electricity used for the period Jun-Dec 2008 and this change will make no difference to our actions.

• 2nd March 2010 – Residents Letter RE: Change of Aristo to PFA

Please read this notice and get in touch with Sandra asap with your views/responses. The proposal will need a 51% agreement with residents before it can be taken into action.

The points raised to which the committee were unaware of at the last meeting were:-

(1) A cleaning contract with P.F.A., who are on a 6 month trial period, has reduced our collective bills by over EUR2,000 and additionally to the present Artha Estates contract, Andreas has successfully negotiated a bonus of EUR800 provided they (P.F.A.) are successful in solving the pigeon problem which has been a thorn in so many people’s sides. In my opinion this has been an excellent result. A team from the new company started work today cleaning the complex.

(2) We have received from Artha Estates an admission in writing that Aristo have been using our electricity supply for the further construction of their sites in Mandria. They have offered us a communal reduction of EUR3,600 in our bills. This amount is to be further investigated by Andreas, and we hoping for a further reduction. This is a massive step in the right direction.

(3) The swimming pool and other points of contention – we await replies from various sources. You will be informed by e-mail or on the notice board next to the pool, as and when we have any information regarding the above issues.
